It's an exciting time now that you have found out you are expecting however, you have a lot of decisions to make now and one that I am sure is on the list is how to decorate your nursery.

Whether your going to find out the gender of your baby or not, you can have fun decorating your nursery without using the colors green and yellow. Using bright bold colors seems to be what is trending right now. Orange, brown, turquoise and black are just a few colors that not only make great color combinations, but they are perfect for a gender neutral nursery.

Bold Wall(s)
Whether you’re using wallpaper, stencils or stripes, a bold accent wall is the perfect way to amp up your nursery design. We’re seeing this trend used in so many different ways from hand-painted patterns on one accent wall to temporary wallpaper on all four walls. This fun trend is supposed to make a statement so don’t be afraid to go big!

Glitter Wall

If you like lots of glitter this may be the perfect accent wall for your nursery. HGTV says if you mix a gallon of glue with glitter, then paint with it the glue will dry clear... Bam!! Glitter wall!! What a fun and easy way to add a little sparkle to your little girl's room.

Color Blocking

Using contemporary colors, have fun using color blocking instead of everything matching. This makes it an easy way to play around with different colors and decor and is great for either gender.

These are just a few of the trends for baby nurseries if you are looking for other ideas, check out the popular book Design Ideas for Baby Rooms. You will find tips and advise on creating your dream nursery and 350 color photographs of fully decorated rooms and products.
